Cactus

Brief User Manual:

The main goal for this project was to create cactus, and environment material using Redshift material, Osl shader. For this project, I created my own material using Osl shader.

  • Resolution: 1280 x 720                          Samples: High

  • Threshold: 0.005                                      Lights: RS Dome Light (HDRI)

Used two RS ramp gradations with grayscale and connected with yellow RS color constant also used two

different noise amount to make different noise shapes.

Then I made a gradation mask in which the number of dots can gradually reduce from top to bottom and then using maxon noise, and RS ramp I made my own mask to give different colors and shapes of dots on the vase.

For the bump map and displacement I made two different noises using maxon noise which made different sizes of bumps and combined them.

To give gradation on the top of the cactus plant, I used RS ramp

Used two different noises to make a sheen mask and made the sheen color white which looks like fur and

increased roughness which looks stiffer.
